Beyond the Club


There are 250,000 Toastmasters in nearly 13,000 clubs located in over 100 countries.

Valley Town Toastmasters (Club No. 9709) belongs to District 86 which has almost 3,000 Toastmasters in almost 200 clubs throughout Ontario.




There are many opportunities happening beyond our club to interact and grow with fellow Toastmasters within the Areas and Divisions that comprise District 86.

BRANT TOASTMASTERS CLUB (No. 2580) combined its June Awards Banquet and 50th Year Anniversary with a first-class celebration at the Cafe Troy Restaurant in Troy, Ontario.
 
The club took this opportunity to warmly induct its incoming executive for the 2011/2012 year.

Brant Toastmasters out-going VP Education Marilyn Hladysh was thrilled to present the 2010/2011 Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year Award to Don Reynolds in recognition of his many personal achievements and club contributions accomplished throughout the year.
 
Congratulations, Don!
 
The event featured keynote speaker Gregory C.N. Smith, the 2010 District 86 International Speech Contest winner.
 
Gregory selflessly travelled a long distance to provide another enthusiastic and inspiring speech on achieving personal success through self-belief.
 
His presentation was another top-notch performance.
 
 
In attendance from Valley Town Toastmasters were Jonathan Spiegel (DTM) and Tony Bratschitsch (ACS, ACB), incoming Division L Governor.

BRANT TOASTMASTERS CLUB (No. 2580) celebrated its 50th Anniversary with an evening supper reception at the Brantford & District Hungarian-Canadian Club.

The keynote speaker, John Bonfield (DTM), fondly spoke about his own recollections of Toastmaster history.

BRANT TOASTMASTERS CLUB  (No. 2580) held its 2010 Year End Banquet at the Kiwanis Apps Mill Club in Brantford.

Valley Town Toastmasters Jonathan Spiegel (DTM) and Tony Bratschitsch (ACS, ALB) attended this festive event and enjoyed an evening of friendly conversation, good food and warm companionship.

The Brant Toastmasters recognized and rewarded many of their members for their accomplishments and achievements throughout the year.




President Ken Klunder presented the Brant Toastmaster 2009/2010 OUTSTANDING TOASTMASTER trophy to Janice McDonald.








Congratulations to Ignacio Villalobos for achieving the BEST SPEAKER award! Vice President Education Brian Hebb is pictured standing behind Ken.




Members and guests enjoyed a fabulous buffet meal.

Another worthy recipient of the Competent Communicator certification award was Herman Sterkenburg, Brant Toastmasters' 2010/211 Sergeant-at-Arms.
